Greg Straight is an Auckland-based artist and illustrator known for his vibrant, nostalgic works celebrating the spirit of Aotearoa. A graduate of Elam School of Fine Arts, he began his career in graphic design, spending six years working in London before returning to New Zealand and reconnecting with the people, places, and stories that shaped him.

In 2010, Greg returned to his fine art roots, developing a signature style inspired by Kiwiana, national pride, and the everyday memories that define life in Aotearoa. Influenced early on by his Elam tutor Dick Frizzell, Greg’s work reflects classic New Zealand experiences—summer road trips, beaches, bikes, surfing—told through bold colour, retro flair, and clean, geometric forms. Alongside his fine art practice, Greg has become a sought-after commercial illustrator, creating custom work for major brands including Chelsea, Bluebird, Tip Top, Four Square, and TVNZ. His illustrations appear across packaging, murals, magazines, billboards, and nationwide campaigns, making his playful, distinctly Kiwi visual language widely recognisable.
