Lauren Claire is a self- taught Hawkes Bay Māori Artist with a deep passion for pushing the limits with sculptured artistry, she strives to make art that exudes depth and textured within in the two materials she creates with mainly. The native timber gives appreciation back to our beautiful texture of our earth with the resin encompassing the hidden splendor of our oceans & rivers.

Lauren has always been creative, yet was never encouraged to pursue a life course in art. It wasn't until after her children were in school, she decided to create again as a hobby. Not knowing her true direction, she experimented with different mediums, finding her passion with Resin and the diverting her course toward sculptures.

Four years onwards, Lauren continues to push her limit with her ''Pounamu style' Sculptures which stands for everything she is, Maori, Strong, Wahine, Empathetic, Gentle, Resilient, Protective, Honest, Confident
