This beautifully framed 2016 Yorkshire Sculpture Park poster features a black 'At This Time' Companion printed on Heavyweight Gauge Paper as part of the Yorkshire Sculpture Park exhibition.

This was the first UK museum exhibition of work by the renowned American artist KAWS, whose wide ranging practice includes painting, sculpture, graphic design, toys and prints. The expansive Longside Gallery featured the artist’s large, bright, graphic canvases immaculately rendered in acrylic paint, alongside towering sculptures in fibreglass and wood. The historically designed landscape of YSP became home to a series of monumental and imposing sculptures in KAWS’s trademark style – nostalgic characters in the process of growing up.

About the artist:

Brian Donnelly, known professionally as KAWS is a multi-faceted artist straddling the worlds of art and design in his prolific body of work that ranges from paintings, murals, and large-scale sculptures to product design and toy-making. His iconic “XX” signature has its roots in the beginning of his career as a street artist in the 1990s, when he began altering found advertisements by incorporating his own masterful paintings. Evoking the sensibilities of Pop artists like Andy Warhol and Claes Oldenburg, KAWS possesses a sophisticated humor and thoughtful interplay with consumer products and collaborations with global brands. Kaws' sculptures range in size from a few inches to ten metres tall, and are made from various materials including fiberglass, aluminium, wood, bronze, and a steel pontoon inflatable raft. His work is exhibited in galleries and museums, held in the permanent collections of public institutions, and avidly collected by individuals including music producer Swizz Beatz, rapper Pharrell Williams, and members of South Korean boy band BTS.
